Kenya is the origin of two favorites: great coffee and Barnabas. I met Kenyan AA poured from a Press Pot at the Division Stumptown in the glorious early years, before New York. Before the Ace Hotel. When Stumptown Belmont was yet to be Annexed. I met Barnabas while studying at Warner Pacific College. I apologize to everyone who has yet to meet Barnabas; he is an absolutely amazing person. I recomend him highly .
Right now, I am suffering withdrawals of Kenyans. Fresh Kenyan coffees have only recently returned to the Portland market (I recommend the Gaturiri Reserve). Barnabas is studying Economic Development at Pennsylvania's Eastern University, currently working in Ghana. Barnabas' love for all humanity as well as for his Kenya has inspired me to help him in his cause.
Until I feel we have made an impact, a portion of all Karamazov Project custom journal sales will be directed toward relief and community development in Africa's developing regions. Also, Karamazov Project will contribute an additional $5 with each commission+donation.
Together in Peace,
Ben
